Water and the Word: Break Out

John 7:38

and let the one

who believes in me drink.

As the scripture has said,

‘Out of the believer’s heart

shall flow rivers of living water.’

Remember that Zoom

when a friendship

broke out?

And that Zoom

where a prayer meeting

broke out?

On another Zoom

a Clean Water U

broke out.

Then one Zoom led

a network conference

to break out.

I dream of the day

when clean, safe water

for all God’s children

will break out.

When it comes

down to it,

all of these

are simply instances

where God breaks out.
