Water and the Word: Smitten

Are you washed

in the waters that live?

Do you swim

in the river of love?

Has your heart broken

open as you give,

overflowing with

a joy from above?

Does grace fill your deeds

and hope move each hand?

Are you winged by the Spirit

as you build and fashion

a world of safe water

poured into each land,

and partnerships constructed

with mutuality and compassion?

There is a river whose streams

make glad the city of God,

the holy habitation

of the Most High. God

is in the midst of the city;

it shall not be moved;

God will help it

when the morning dawns.

Psalm 46:4-5
