Challenges Overcome in Honduras
El Horno, Comayagua Honduras. A small community of indigenous Lenca descendants. Located in the mountains in the area of Comayagua.
A place that is difficult to get to, so no church is willing to go there. A pastor said one day "I have come to the end of the earth." A little over 10 years ago, the Honduras Presbyterian Church began to work in the area and by the grace of God positive changes came to the community. I remember, four years ago, we had a medical brigade with a group from Winter Haven, Florida. At that time, we counted 20 cases of hepatitis and many cases of diarrhea. A missionary named Mark Wright had the idea to call Living Waters for the World to see if LWW wanted to support this community. There was a problem; THERE WAS NO ELECTRICITY. This missionary said "LWW works together with Solar Under The Sun and they will do a good job." The water purification system was installed and was the first one using solar panels in Honduras.
The challenge of the road was overcome. The inconvenience of sleeping on the ground or in the truck was overcome. The system was installed approximately two years ago, so the challenge of contaminated water was overcome.
Since the water system was installed, the cases of hepatitis went down to zero. And, the cases of diarrhea went down by more than 95% in the entire community. Now this community produces and lets LIVING WATER flow.

Pequeña comunidad desendientes indígenas Lencas ubicada en las montañas del departamento de Comayagua.
Un lugar que por lo difícil de llegar ni las iglesias querían llegar. Un pastor dijo un día " he llegado a lo último de la tierra ". pero hace poco mas de 10 años la iglesia Prebiteriana de Honduras inició su trabajo en la zona y por gracia de DIOS llegaron los cambios positivos a la comunidad.
Recuerdo que hace 4 años realizamos una brigada médica con un grupo de Winter Havem Florida, en esa ocasión encotramos 20 casos de hepatitis y muchos casos de diarrea .
De Un misionero llamado Mark Wright nace la idea de llamar a LWW para ver si quería apoyar a esta comunidad.

La planta se instaló siendo esta el primer sistema utilizando paneles solares instalado en Honduras .

Pero a menos de 2 años de instalado el sistema se superó el desafío del agua contaminada .
Los casos de hepatitis bajaron a cero en los últimos 2 años , los casos de diarrera bajaron más de un 95 % en toda la comunidad .
Ahora esta comunidad produce y deja correr el AGUA VIVA .
