In the Flow

From the snow-capped peak,

melting trickle builds

until the river roars

toward the sea,

moving or smoothing

everyone and everything

in the flow.

From the dawn of time,

story’s thread picks up people,

weaving them into a wider narrative,

until each of us is

in the flow.

In the community of hope,

partners bring their dreams

and gifts to the table,

circling with possibility,

until safe water places

all God’s children

in the flow.

Look around you,

focusing your attention

on the holy whisper

beckoning you to jump in

and allow your life to join

in the flow.
