| The Mascontrol Pump Controller I purchased from FCI is not wired. How do you wire it for the standard ROS system? |
The Mascontrol Pump Controller is a dual voltage 115/230 VAC unit that comes unwired from the Fulfillment Center (FCI). In order to control the raw water pump, this controller must be wired between the power source (wall receptacle) and the power cord from the pump. Please refer to the Installation Wiring Diagram – 115 VAC 2-Wire Pumps in the Owner’s Manual. Because no power cord is supplied with the Mascontrol Unit from FCI, it is suggested that users purchase an extension cord to wire the controller. By cutting the extension cord in half, the male end can be wired to plug into the wall receptacle and the female end can be wired to accept the power cord from the pump. Each cut end of the cord can then be connected to the controller. Inside the pump controller is a terminal strip with electrical connections numbered from 1 to 8. Wiring of the terminal strip for the male end of the extension cord should be (See Fig 1): 1. The hot wire from the male end of the cord should connect to Terminal 8. 2. The neutral wire from the male end of the cord should connect to Terminal 4. 3. The ground wire from the male end of the cord should connect to Terminal 2. Wiring of the terminal strip for the female end of the extension cord should be (See Fig 2): 4. The hot wire from the female end of the cord should connect to Terminal 7. 5. The neutral wire from the female end of the cord should connect to Terminal 3. 6. The ground wire from the female end of the cord should connect to Terminal 1.
