Internationally bottles are purchased in country. They are 20 liter bottles and are very definitely reused. In our 103 Clean Water Systems Handbook, chapter 12 - and elsewhere - is devoted to the proper process beginning with a dirty, empty bottle and moving through five steps to becoming a full, sealed and capped bottle of clean water.
