Yes.  In fact, if possible, the unit should be left on 24/7.  The only time 
a problem can occur is when you have a UV intensity monitor.  The 
heated/hot water created while the system is down with the UV light on may create a high pressure/temperature alarm condition.  To avoid this alarm condition, a temperature sensitive bleed off is installed to keep the UV monitor from falsely alarming.
