CWU 101

Learn the fundamentals of team leadership, field survey, water testing, and partnership development.

"Who pulls all the components of water-related mission trips together? In CWU-101, the critical skills of team leadership, organization and coordination of trip components, and the importance of relationship-building come together. Using the basic 'tools of our trade', the Water Issues Survey, Covenants, and the Field Test Kit, we emphasize the dynamics and skills needed for the very important 'first trip' where the partnership development work truly begins. The course doesn't stop there, however. 'Snapshots' of the installation trip and two follow-up trips are also included.

If you're a detail-oriented person who likes to "wrap your arms" around a project and pull it all together, but also is willing to work with other team members to give them the opportunity to enjoy their share of the work, then CWU-101 is for you."

CWU 102

Learn the health, hygiene and spiritual curriculum, teach other course participants, and finally become capable to lead the training for in-country instructors.

"Question: How will people who have had little or no access to clean water know how to use it properly? Answer: YOU will teach them! Welcome to CWU 102, the Health Education Track that will teach you how to teach your international partners about the health benefits of using purified water appropriately. The curriculum is very interactive and is engaging for adults and children alike. Scriptural stories about God's use of water are interwoven with activities and lessons about using clean water and washing hands. CWU 102 will prepare you to instruct your partners, and leave them with the materials and skills they will need to teach their own community."

CWU 103

Standard System

Build a fully functioning water treatment system from the ground up, culminating in the production of clean water.

Reverse Osmosis & Softening (ROS)

The CWU 103 ROS course takes a fully functioning standard system to the next level by adding water softening and reverse osmosis components. CWU 103 ROS students must have a thorough understanding of the standard system or the approval of a CWU instructor before enrolling in the ROS option.

“CWU 103 is for you if you are the "handy person" around the church or the house. You will use your God-given talents, and probably learn a few news ones, in constructing the clean water system. At the end, you and your classmates will toast to your hard work with the lake water you have cleaned through the system ! You will then use these skills in the field, working with local partners in need to install the system, working and growing in your faith together to bring clean water to their community.”
